Minimum qualifications: Available to undergraduate students who have transferred to SJSU within the last 4 years from a California Community College who demonstrate financial need, socio-economic status, challenges and/or hardships, academic qualifications, achievements and have a commitment to obtain their Bachelor degree. Full-time students and part-time students are eligible for this scholarship. Scholarship recipients may be considered for renewal awards as long as they continue to make satisfactory progress toward a degree.
Students must complete the Intent to Enroll process on NextSteps by May 1st.

1. Newly admitted students
2. Expected Family Contribution (as determined by FAFSA or Dream Act): $0 – $7000
3. Cumulative GPA: >= 2.5
4. Participation in extracurricular activities
5. Highest reviewer scores*

*Applications are reviewed by a committee and scored based on answers provided by the applicant. Each answer is reviewed for:

• relevance to the question
• spelling, grammar, and college level writing
• creativity

Scholarship winners will be notified by email no later than September 1.
