Marion Cilker Scholarship for Infusing Art into Education

The Marion Cilker Scholarship for Infusing Art into Education Fund offers scholarships to teachers in training.

Requirements:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Enrolled in a teacher preparation program
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and incorporating the fine arts, performing arts, and/or art history in middle and high schools.
- Must provide leadership and preparation support working with the Cilker conference committee, participating and attending the annual Marion Cilker Conference for Arts in Education held during the fall semester.

The student who receives this scholarship must also write a thank you note to the donor.

  1. The Marion Cilker scholarship is awarded to a teacher-in-training dedicated to bringing the arts into K-12 classrooms. Please (1) describe your previous experience in the arts or arts education (2) provide specific examples for how you will develop arts awareness, techniques or appreciation in your future teaching; and (3) briefly describe a workshop or demonstration that you might present to other teachers interested in bringing arts into K-12 classroom.
