Global Spartan Scholarship for Current Students

The purpose of the Global Spartan Scholarship is to support international students on F-1 visa. Application is open to currently matriculated F-1 students, seeking to earn a degree from SJSU. Short-term, non-degree seeking students are not eligible. Students must plan to be enrolled full time with 12 units as an undergraduate or 9 units as a graduate student in each semester (fall and spring), for next academic year. If you will be graduating and have been authorized for a Reduced Course Load (RCL) due to the final term, that will be considered full-time enrollment. Past recipients of the Global Spartan scholarship are ineligible to apply.

Eligibility Requirements

Continuing students GPA:
Grads – minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
Undergrads – minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3

Leadership Impact
Applicants should demonstrate leadership in their involvement with their current campus and community.

Global Impact
Recipients of this Scholarship are expected to show their commitment to globalization, diversity and ultimately to the internationalization of SJSU. Activities may include, but are not limited to: speaking to students and groups, tabling, participating in student information meetings and other promotional events, and posting or creating promotional materials.
