Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements
If you’re a member of an underrepresented community as described above and have a passion for neuroscience, you can apply if you are also:
A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
18 or older
A third- or fourth-year undergraduate, a graduate student, currently enrolled in medical school or awaiting acceptance to medical school or a residency program
Able to spend the agreed-upon time in Los Angeles and arrange your own travel and accommodations
Previous awardees are eligible to apply for a subsequent year.

A complete application consists of these documents and should be emailed to neuroscholars@cshs.org:

Official Application Form
Curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé
Personal statement written by the applicant and describing:
Long-range educational and training goals, as well as career objectives in neuroscience
Previous relevant accomplishments
Hopes and expectations from our program
Two letters of reference discussing the applicant’s academic and personal qualifications. The letters should be addressed to the Scholarships and Pathways in Neuroscience Program and emailed to neuroscholars@cshs.org by the author (not the applicant).
Official transcripts or dean’s letter of good standing.
