HO'OMAU FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility Requirement

- Must be Pacific Islander descent as defined by the US Census
- Actively engaged in a Pacific Islander club learning or teaching native language, dance, music, or outreach for a Pacific Islander program (provide proof of paystub, invoice to your halau, attendance confirmation to program)
- Submit a 800 word entrance letter explaining your career goals, your current participation in the Pacific Islander community and your aspirations to continue to influence and lead
- Legally reside in the United States
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be enrolled full-time upon receipt of funding at an accredited two-year or four-year university in the United States
- 2 Recommendation letters – 1 letter from your school counselor or advisor and 1 letter from a teacher (kumu hula, school teacher, Hawaiian education teacher); not a family member
- Present academic records with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- If selected, you will need to be available for an online or in person interview in July 2020. We will contact you to schedule.
