TEACHER SCHOLARSHIPS

The Marin Retired Teachers Association Scholarship was established by several Marin County retired teachers to assist Marin County High School graduates pursuing Fifth-Year Teaching Credentials (or Master’s degrees in Education).

Students must be graduates of a Marin County high school.
Students must be actively pursuing Fifth-Year Teaching Credentials (or Master’s degrees in Education).
Students must maintain a minimum college GPA of 2.0.
The Building Better Teachers Scholarship supports early care and education (ECE) teachers continuing their college coursework in early development and education to earn a Bachelor’s degree and beyond.

Students must have lived in the Bay Area for at least one year.
Students must be enrolled in an ECE degree program intending to pursue a career with children zero to five (pre-kindergarten).
Students may be taking community college courses related to early childhood education with plans to transfer to a four-year college to complete a Bachelor’s degree.
Students must maintain a minimum college GPA of 2.0.
Students from low- to moderate-income backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
